Great weekend to visit the Art Gallery of Hamilton! We're celebrating our Spring Art Sale and Doors Open Hamilton. Free admission all weekend, and we're open 12 noon - 5 pm both days.

Spotlight tours at 12 noon visit Matisse's Jazz Series (on Saturday) and Diane Landry's wonderful kinetic installations (on Sunday).

Illustrated Talks with Bill and Ann Manson at 1 pm explores The Opening of the First AGH (Saturday) and Treasures from the Tanenbaum Collection (Sunday)

Guided Exhibition Tours offered both days at 2 pm.

This Week in Hamilton...

I think you read my mind LMDC 123. We might run into each other several times during the summer at all the amazing events. Everything you listed are only a few of the reasons why so many people travel to Hamilton.

I can smell the beautiful aroma of the lilacs right now. Come on Spring!

This Week in Hamilton...

Loved running in and cheering at the Around the Bay Road Race. Can't wait for Food and Drink Fest. Looking forward to experiencing the tulips and lilacs at the RBG. Warmer weather means more visits to the bayfront, and longer strolls at ArtCrawls on James North.

The Art Gallery of Hamilton is having some eggs-iting fun this Sunday!

On Sunday, March 27th, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, the Family Fun Day activity is titled EGG-stravaganza: Decorate an Egg.

The fee for this activity is:
AGH Members: Free
Non-Members: $5 per family (up to 4 children)

Space is limited so it's first come, first served.

In town to support your favourite runners in the Around the Bay Road Race on Sunday, March 27th? The Art Gallery of Hamilton will be open on Sunday morning from 10 am for your browsing pleasure before you head back to Copps Coliseum to cheer your athletes across the finish line. The AGH is located across the street from the Sheraton Hamilton Hotel, and just steps from Copps Coliseum and the 30 km and 5 km race start lines.

What's new downtown?

We moved downtown six years ago ... a great move for our family.

The newly renovated Hamilton Public Libary is beautiful. Our daughter enjoys using the mechanized book drop to return books and then watch the returned items head down the conveyor belt.

I am waiting impatiently for the Market to reopen.

This Saturday, January 15th, the AGH i♥filmseries launches Saturday afternoon double screenings at Westdale Theatre with a 1 pm screening of Howl (rated 14A) and a 4 pm screening of Never Let Me Go (rated 14A). Plus, join AGH staff, Bryan Prince Bookseller, and the i♥filmseries Club for the Matinee Launch Social at 3:00 pm at the Theatre for treats and conversation.
