Sports Organizer

Hamilton is a city with a passion for sport. Hamilton is home to North America’s oldest professional football team, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats; North America’s oldest road race, the Around the Bay; inaugural host of the Commonwealth Games in 1930; biannual host of the longest running international multi-sport event in north America, the CANUSA Games; and much, much more!

The City of Hamilton has been in the business of sport tourism for many years, but Tourism Hamilton has now made this $2 billion per year industry a strategic priority. With the addition of two full-time staff dedicated to Sport Tourism, we are excited about working with a wide variety of sport organizations, and showcasing all that Hamilton has to offer for sport events and conventions.

Tourism Hamilton’s Sport Tourism Coordinators, Sharon Murphy and Trish Chant-Sehl are committed to providing our clients with a full service experience, from the early stages of bidding, through to hosting and post-event follow-up. Our assistance includes:
