Hamilton is a city with a passion for sport. Hamilton is home to North America’s oldest professional football team, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats; North America’s oldest road race, the Around the Bay; inaugural host of the Commonwealth Games in 1930; biannual host of the longest running international multi-sport event in north America, the CANUSA Games; Part of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Games and much, much more!
The City of Hamilton has been in the business of sport tourism for many years, but Tourism Hamilton has now made this $2 billion per year industry a strategic priority. Full-time staff has been dedicated to Sport Tourism, and we are excited about working with a wide variety of sport organizations, and showcasing all that Hamilton has to offer for sport events and sport conventions.
