Tourism Hamilton’s Visitor Centre at the Lister Block not only will provide help when planning your visit to Hamilton, but also offers many options for local art, design and jewlery for sale from Hamilton-based artists.

Donn Zver Pottery

Joseph Hollick

Joesph Hollick is a Hamilton born photographer. He produced two posters titled:  “WATERFALLS OF HAMILTON AUTUMN” and “WATERFALLS OF HAMILTON SPRING”. In 2004 he won the Tourism Hamilton Award for the category “New Tourism Idea” – Waterfalls for his work on waterfalls and his first two posters (Seasons and Autumn).  In October 2008 he won the Ontario Tourism Award for Best Travel Photography for his third poster (Spring). In November 2009 he received the Via Rail Canada Tourism Award for Volunteer of the Year for his 10 years involvement in locating, photographing and promoting Hamilton’s waterfalls. In 2011 he received a Paul Harris Fellowship from the Dundas Rotary for his research, discoveries and promotion of Hamilton’s waterfalls as an enhancement to the community.

Kelly Lowe Glass

Matt McInnes

Matt McInnes is an Ontario College of Art and Design graduate and Hamilton based printmaker. In 2005, he began working out of the Print Studio in Hamilton Ontario, and was the recipient of their 2007 Emerging Printmaker Scholarship. His work documents buildings in transition and recreates the hybridized landscapes of the Southern Ontario region.

Currently, McInnes is the Arts Education coordinator at The Print Studio, creating and facilitating print based workshops with primary and secondary school students in the Hamilton region.  ace@theprintstudio.ca

Postcards & Note cards

The postcards and note cards come in various sizes, and feature the designs of The Lister Block, Hamilton Buildings (Lister Block, Pigott, Auchmar & Works Arts & Heritage Centre) and Ivor Wynne Stadium.  Prices range from $2-$40.

 

Russell Gibbs

Russell Gibbs is a graphic designer and beekeeper living in Dundas, Ontario. Russell has been a designer for over 11 years, working with some of the top studios in Toronto and most notably he served as the creative director for Parcel Design and established their design aesthetic. He has led campaigns for Allseating, Astral Media, Canadian Writers Group, Children’s Aid Foundation, Entertainment One, Sick Kids Foundation, Second Cup, and The Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario. His aesthetic and approach are unique and can be seen in his work – simple, clever, memorable and thoughtful.

His work has been recognized by the Advertising and Design Club of Canada, Coupe Magazine, HOW Magazine, and by the Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario.  www.russellgibbsdesign.com
